Pool Plastering / Tile
Have you noticed that the surface of your swimming pool is not quite as smooth as it once was? Over time, the surface of your swimming pool will begin to become worn and chip resulting in exposed sharp-edged sand that creates an unpleasant sandpaper feel to your pool finish. From bathing suits snags to the bloody toes and scraped elbows, the sandpaper effect of your pool has probably deterred you and your loved ones from wanting to swim in your pool. Something we are certain you are not happy about. No need to worry or get frustrated with a swimming pool you can't enjoy, Gus Pools is here to help. Our team of qualified professionals will give your pool a smooth new surface with traditional standard white plaster or give your pool added punch you can choose from a variety of other surfaces. Though slightly more expensive, other resurface options like quartz or peddle finish offer a longer lifespan of service to your pool's surface.
Traditional standard white plaster is the most commonly used product for pool surfaces and the least expensive. A new plaster surface will provide 5-10 years of good service. There are other colors that can be applied with the plaster per your preference. Plaster is porous material susceptible to bacteria growth and staining. As a result, plaster surfaced pools require more chemicals to maintain the PH balance in the water. With a quartz interior pool surface, you'll receive 10-15 years of good service. Quartz is a hard, non-porous, stain-resistant material and is offered in a variety of colors. Pebble finished pool surfaces are the most durable and stain resistant because of the density of the material. It is offered in various colors and is the most natural looking of all three surfaces, reminiscent of a lake bed.
Cracks in your tile are unsightly and can be a sign of greater problems. Cracks caused by earth movement indicate underlying problems that require deeper inspection. This tile will need to be removed in order to conduct a complete assessment of the damage and to ensure new tile will adhere to the surface properly. When conducting such an evaluation, it is also a prime time to consider a complete renovation of the tile decor to update the look of your swimming pool. Gus Pools offers a wide variety of colors and designs for you to choose from.
